Re: Rotary Revival 7

Rotary Revival was a great day out. 318 rotary,or rotary powered, cars. There was something for everyone, cruises, laps, drags & burnouts on a very warm Sydney day. Was great to catch up with 5p3nc3 again & meet a few other RX8 owners. The SMSP northern circuit is great fun. Turn 1 needs caution if ...

Rotary Revival 7

I've just entered. :D
https://rotaryrevival.com.au/event/rota ... -7-sydney/
$125 for 5 x 15 min sessions around Sydney Motorsport Park with other rotaries. From what I saw of the previous event in Sydney it should be a fantastic day out.
Any one else planning on attending?

Re: Upgrade time

No noise at all so far, but I've only really been to work & back, although that does entail some freeway driving.
The pads seem well suited to the discs.

Re: Upgrade time

All in & performing well.
The Goodridge braided lines all fitted without any problems, the DBA rotors look good & the pads feel to have a bit extra over my old OEM's. Having said that I was down to 1mm of pad on worn discs.
Now all I need is a good drive to test them out, but it's raining :(

Re: BHR engine mounts

Had the new engine mounts in since Monday and instantly noticed a difference. I always had a rough idle, this has now gone it's much more consistent with just the faintest hint of vibration. The tone of the engine inside the car also seems deeper, which I suspect is because of the stiffer mounts. BH...

They do look to be well made. Unfortunately they wont be installed for a couple of weeks but I will let you know how they feel once in.

Re: Fuel Pump Ring Recall

Queried my local Mazda dealer about the above recall & they knew nothing of it. In fairness to them they asked Mazda who told them it's on the "to do list" but hasn't been officially issued yet because they are snowed under with air bag recalls.
They will contact me apparently. Lets wait & see

Re: Drivers window not closing

There are 2 small tabs that keep it closed, not really visible in the pictures I posted. If you slide a knife blade between the 2 halves, along the joint line, eventually it will start to separate (I used a Swiss Army Knife) You will then be able to prize the tabs open, using small jewelers screwdri...

Drivers window not closing

My drivers window made some horrid noises as it closed the other day on the way in to work. It then went down on the way out of work but that was it. No way was it going back up again. A quick search on the net revealed that cheap plastic gears in the window regulator are prone to loosing teeth & wi...
