Re: Max Torque that the Drivetrain can reliably handle

50% more power/torque shouldn't be an issue as this is the average power people are getting with FI set-ups. That is, 177kW/211Nm at the engine becomes approximately 265kW/316Nm or a bit higher. Only real change to the drivetrain people make is an upgraded clutch which probably doesn't apply to your...

Re: Advice Please - Catalytic converter issues

Getting a brand new one from a dealership will cost somewhere between $2K-$5K so not too many people go with this option. A decent name brand aftermarket version will set you back ~$1K installed. No-name versions do exist but are really just band aid solutions if you're looking to sell or something ...

Also check the filters behind the glove box as this is what made mine so bad - they were completely clogged and looked like they had never been changed...

Re: Selling my rx8 for an Audi SQ5

Hey Thai Our second car is an SUV and they're great! We went the BMW X3, 3L Turbo Diesel. It's a completely different car to our RX-8 in almost everyway: - Automatic Vs. Manual - Piston Vs Rotary - Petrol Vs Diesel - Torque Vs "Not as much torque" (RX-8 is turbo'd so it's actually got some torque no...

You're not referring to the rear panel that appears to have 2 screws at the bottom of it (i.e. 2 more screws need to be undone) are you :?:

The left screw is just a bit to the right of your finger and down a bit...

Re: So this happened today

Get some personal quotes (i.e. state you're not going through insurance) and see what price they can do it for. If it's cheaper than your excess or possibly even a little above it is probably worth doing so your premium is not affected.

Good luck and speedy repairs,
