Thanks for sharing. My car still coming up with the airbag ones even though I've been told it's done.
Also any news of the fuel pump one?

So it turns out that a number of dealers are replacing faulty airbags with newer faulty airbags to try and gain some time. Logic being that the airbags are fine for a few years before they're an iasue. I would say that this is what's happened with you.

Looks like I'm in the same boat. I've had my airbag replaced but it still says it needs doing & nothing on the fuel pump seal

^^ what browser?
and maybe type the VIN rather than copy/pasting it

This recall stuff is quite annoying, especially that the airbag stuff needs to be redone. and there has been little to no movement on the fuel pump.

Although I do feel better that its not just me

I called into my dealer for a pink slip & they changed the passengers air bag as well.
Their answer was they couldn't let the car leave the dealership whilst there was a recall on it. Funny how that didn't stop them with the drivers air bag & they know nothing about the fuel recall.
Anyway happy that mine has been done.

Just to prove that Mazda Australia couldn't organize anything & don't know what's going on. Today I got a letter from Mazda telling me of the passenger side airbag recall for the airbag they replaced on the 18th. :?:
Go figure

Yes, essentially there are supply issues for the appropriate replacement airbag product, and because the fault becomes more probable with age, as an interim strategy a number of manufacturers are simply replacing airbags with a newer one (of the same type) in the meantime.

No Andrew, have not owned an RX8 for a few years now, just the advice gleaned from the industry.

Reread your message and have misunderstood what you were saying. Frankly I'm confused still. I thought you were saying I haven't owned an rx8 for a few years. I have nothing against what you wrote other than its just the detail behind what I'd already written.

No Andrew, I misread your previous message as well. I thought you were saying I got the info from a letter Mazda sent to me about my RX8. And yes, my first post added little other than to note supply issues for manufacturers, so fair comment.
