Series 2 ECU option for FI

Post by ToFuBoX » Thu Nov 17, 2011 1:06 pm

For those that dont read the American site, Turblown has reported they have tested and implemented a new stand alone ECU for the S2 RX8.

They have stated that
full standalone ECU that allows all OEM functions to work correctly.. Dash, no check engine lights, traction control, drive by wire throttle body, omp, etc.
For reference goto http://www.rx8club.com/showthread.php?p ... ost4126713

Turblown is only offering it in conjunction with their turbo kit, and no further details have been released

Regards
Jason

Would this be the first standalone for the Rx8? What about for the Series 1!!

I guess it will be the adaptronics.

The adaptronics is a stand alone ecu for a series 1... sorta.

It retains your factory ecu for immobiliser, electric throttle control, omp.

Now if you take out your immobiliser, change to throttle wire, delete omp, im sure it can be a full standalone.

I'd like to see proof. Especially FI'd as the SII ecu has a CEL for when it sees more than (I think) 205g/sec over the maf.
