Value of my 8?

Post by Pennyfan » Thu Dec 18, 2014 2:18 pm

For some personal reason, I have to sell my beloved Rx8
Car is 2010 RX-8 Gen2 Luxury manual, Aluminium Silver, only done 26000 km, bought a year ago for $38000.
Reg till Fev 2015, has 1 more year factory mechanical warranty, also purchased paint, interior and tyre/wheel protection when purchased.
I wonder how much does this car worth now?

My guess would be about $35000
Fellow Rotor fans gather now for our daily prayer.....

As I lay rubber down the street,
I pray for traction I can keep,
But if I spin and start to slide,
Please dear god protect my sweet ride.

Amen

Sorry if I'm bursting your bubble. But realistically, you'd do well if it gets sold for $25,000. I've been looking on carsales everyday for the past 9 months before I bought my 8 last month.

Before I bought my GT, I almost bought a 2010 luxury with 18,500km (immaculate condition, drives perfect and not even a scratch) for $23,750. I didn't seal the deal. They all get advertised around $30k initially but only gets sold after prices drop to $25k mark

I agree with Spirit R. I sold my 2010 luxury model with 34,000km about one year ago for $28,000 - and that was a price I was happy with. There were cars I saw in the $30ks, but they were not moving and the sellers were frankly dreaming, especially given what you could buy for around $25K+.

That really sad.
I think I am ok if sold for $28k, anything lower than that, I rather keep it for a daily.
thank for your inputs.

That was a year ago too mate (so take that into consideration), and sold to the sister of my own mechanic.

... might be keeping it then, which is probably the best outcome in the end considering.
