Farewell!

Post by Kev13B » Fri Jun 17, 2016 8:15 pm

As few of the members know my rx8 has been up sale. Today I handed the keys over to the new owner who is a member here named Conza.

I want to say a big thank you to all the forum members, from the technical posts and walkthroughs to the trash talking (BOB) and Zoom for running the site. Without this forum I probably wouldn't have bought the rx8 almost 5 years ago or met a lot of great people here in Vic and around OZ.
I'll still be around to offer help where I can and to organise this years nationals and probably the odd meet or two.

One of the first and one of my favourite photos of the car:

Sorry to see you go. Been great having you. You're an asset that we'll miss. What the next ride?

Thanks mate, next ride will be the rx7.
Engines all apart and currently at xtreme rotaries getting some machine work and modifications so it it can reliaby handle track work.

Since putting the rx8 up for sale I've had rental Hondas as daily which are ridiculously cheap as my Mrs mum works for Honda. They're extremely boring to drive, but fuel efficient. Hopefully the FC is driving by summer still a bit of work to do.

Look forward to see the FC up and running Kev, as will you I am sure. All the best with the completion of the project, and great to see you are sticking with the rotary.

Thanks for the contribution to this club and in the organisation of events. Good to see you staying with the rotaries.

I'd want a series 5 or a series 8. Ideally a series 5, but it seems hard to find a nice clean one. I'd love a series 8, knowing me I'd probably blow all my money on it though lol.
