My special illness started with an RX3 4door,
parked it and went into an RX2 4door,
sold it and went to a RX3 coupe.
Dissasembled that and bought a S4 RX7. (nice ride them),
T-Bonned that beyond repair. (70yo+ drivers should not be on the road!)
Next came the VG Commy UTE. The ute has given me 10 years of trouble free daily use and big skids!! Problem was i was always getting sick, i needed my rotary fix again.
Now i have the RX8 and feeling better again. :thumbright:

I drove a 2010 Toyota corolla ascent. Automatic. Did 160,000 Kay's in 4 years, changed jobs and sold it.

1990 N13 Nissan Pulsar Sport.
Thus thing was my Nans car from new. Bought back in 2000 AD for 3g with 42000km on the clock. Started life as a 1.8 3 speed auto. Motor blew in 2004 so replaced converted it to a 5 speed manual 50a series gearbox from a Nissan Exa, and the motor came overnight from Japan, 1992 Nissan Bluebird SSS CA18DET.
Car stayed in this configuration for about 6 months after the initial conversion. Fitted a 550x280x60 FMIC and 2.75 inch mandrel bent exhaust system. This upped the boost slightly naturally and the car went from 104fwkw to 117fwkw. This remained for another 6 months until the stock turbo gave up and sent its turbine wheel through the flex pipe. Replaced the Turbo with a GT2860R and raised the boost to 10psi.
This made 138kw at the front wheels. Car stayed like that for about 3 years with a few minor tweaks here and there. Addidtion of Electronic boost controller etc.

Took the car to the drag races in Townsville once and blew the gearbox to pieces. Drove home with no oil left, second and fourth only. Replaced the box with a 50v series LSD box from a Bluebird SSS and had custom drive shafts and CVs in billet made to suit. Fitted a Nistune computer to replace the standard CA unit and once tuned by a competent tuner the car managed an easy 183fwkw on 14psi. We dropped it back to 160fwkw and 12psi for drivability. This is how I kept the car till 2012 when I sold it after buying the RX8 new off the showroom. The Pulsar was a labor of love. Always a hoot to drive but a handful always. 5th gear at 100kph you could floor it, hit boost and start spinning both front wheels as you overtake a car. Nuts fun. Also as the car looked relatively stock, the cops never touched it. Even when it was me being an idiot they never suspected a Pulsar to do what it did. The other problem was the car was known in the community and noone would line up next to it. Not a single person for 2 years straight for fear it might chop them in their Supercharged SS.

Best time at the drags was a 12.4@123mph on the first box and 138kw. Never took it down after the new box and Nistune was fitted for fear of breaking it again.

Other little things done was Langley import front end conversion, full DVD stereo system pumping 144dB, King lows on Monroe shocks (until it didnt fit over the pits in darwin)

Got alot of random pictures throughout ownership but you can all appreciate what Passion is.

Fellow Rotor fans gather now for our daily prayer.....

As I lay rubber down the street,
I pray for traction I can keep,
But if I spin and start to slide,
Please dear god protect my sweet ride.

Very nice Bob! I've got an N12 exa on the backburner that I'm thinking of putting CA18 in.

Since where sharing I'll post up one of my earlier cars. It was a 88 TX5 turbo. I did some mods to it Inc a T28 off a jap S15. I managed 155kw at the wheels on a stock fuel pump and flash tune. The torque steer was so bad it would throw the car across lanes of you weren't careful. Great car but couldn't corner at all.
