Spotted this today on ebay not a bad score on $$ if the rebuild info is correct.

Almost worth grabbing just for the engine lol

It sounds like a good car to buy. No new rotors hope the groove was good.

Reading the detail in the description, sounds like this is a legit car!

Hmmm I wonder what the missus would say if another car rocked up in the driveway...

When I bought the current 8 it just sorta appeared one day lol

So funny thing.. My kid brother rings me up the day before yesterday and asks me if I'd go look at a blue RX8.. this RX8 as it turns out! true to form my brother messages the guy and says if it doesn't sell would you take x for it and the guy cam back to him after the high bidder didn't contact him.

I spent a good while going over it and it's a pretty sweet ride, good condition for an '05, a lazy lazy start but it has the upgraded starter and the comp test checked out so we figure poor coils (ect.).
The guy bought all the parts for the rebuild and then had a mate who works at a engine reconditioner build it, it's in decent nick although I wouldn't rate it up there with a build by one of our known and reputable rotor shops but still solid.. having seen it and driven it I'd say a reasonable bargain!

It's now at it's new home in Canberra so you lads down there keep an eye out for it!

Nice work, let us know if the coils were at fault when you find out.

Saw this while I was checking the market value for insurance this arvo - http://www.carsales.com.au/private/deta ... 18&sdmvc=1

Gullwing/scissor doors on an 8.. I'd never seen them on one before and it doesn't look to bad from the front and back.. not too keen on the directly side on view and wouldn't want to carry the weight myself but kinda cool none the less..

Those puddle lights sure are obsolete, love our puddle lights, clever, simple and very useful. Low carparks would also become cringe worthy & expensive. Money better spent elsewhere.

Nice video.
I think I may just have to go & see that awesome car
