I noticed that for the RENEW vs SAU lap battle, also at Wakefield Park, that all cars need to have a fire extinguisher fitted. Do I need one for the Nationals?

Can't really speak for the organisers I suppose but it hasn't been a requirement in the past ones I have attended and no mention of a need for one in the information pack for this year.

So pretty certain the answer is no.

It is not so much governed by which track you are at (if that's what you were thinking) but more by who is managing the event.

RENEW is CAMS affiliated so it plays by their rules and that means a fire extinguisher at RENEW track days.

Yep, no extinguisher required...though it won't hurt having one.

Faxed paperwork through to you today Nathan :thumbleft:

now the wait begins 8)

for all of those who are still umm-ing and ah-ing about the nationals, it is a great day out, a great and safe way to experience the limits of our cars. Plus there are plenty of kind folk willing to jump in and give you a few pointers while u blast around the track. whether u want to beat your last time (or someone elses  ) or just travel along at your own pace, its still a great day and a great experience.
and most importantly we dont want to share our track day with other cars, so come on all you 8'ers get ur forms in and start paying.

Cheers
Spence

Phew, been broke and busy lately. I'm keen to come back again this year, and will look at throwing my money in next pay. This might coincide with my leaving the district though, will have to see. Might just take my chances anyway :D

I am definitely interested, but i just dont know if the car will be reliable enough, and i want to get the most out of my old engine before new one goes in.

I should get my car back next week, when i get it back i'll get back to you.

If not what will be my costs to simply drive up and watch u guys go?

Regards
Jason
