Depends on how hard you go. Last year I needed to refuel at lunch time ;)

It is an excellent question Shr3da. From my read, previous posts have only emphasised the importance of arriving with a full tank, never a need for the lunch time fuel run.

I was planning to only bringing an extra 10 litre fuel can with me (on top of the full tank of course), but now I am thinking.

Sort of puts "splash & dash" into context.
To try to get a handle on fuel, how many laps per session & how many sessions per group?

well it starts at 9, doing 15-20 sessions each hr until 4 so maybe 5 or 6 runs. Since I have never done a track day before I have no idea how much petrol I will need.

Most people tend to only use a tank on the day. But thanks to our unique engines, the harder you go, the quicker you use fuel. Everyone will get 4x 20min (iirc) sessions plus a passenger session.

If you have jerry cans, bring them for sure, save you a lunchtime trip to Goulburn (5mins away)

Personally I'm brining 2x 20L jerry cans, but I plan on needing them :D Only because I am lazy though, last year I used a fuel tank.

Thanks for the info vanq, much appreciated!!!! I think I might just fill up at goldburn because I don't any fuel cans and plus they can stick the car out, especially on a long trip.

Thanks Nathan.
As a 1st timer, if I need to I can always duck out & fill up when the more experienced guys are going around, plus I don't fancy carting fuel cans around in the boot.

Goulburn is only 10 minutes away so fuel is not a problem.
Should have some info in the next few days re session times and general advice.
Usually run 5-6 sessions of 15 minutes each-first one untimed as a warm up.Probably be four groups of cars ,so one run per hour or thereabouts.
Just sorting out the details with the RENEW boys.
Cheers

The RX8 is very thirsty on the track so be prepared to fill up at lunch as you will most likely run out during the afternoon session. It you come prepared with a 20L Gerry can than you should be able to make it through the day.
