How Quickly does the Oil go Black after a Change

Post by Soldier » Fri May 26, 2017 10:30 am

How quickly should I expect the oil in my block to get back to a dark/black tinge colour?

Surly not less than a single oil top up is needed?

thanks for the responses

I changed mine every 6 months or 5000km with the filter every second change.

Due to the oil coolers having remnants of old oil in there, it doesn't take long. Maybe 500 to 1000kms.

fair enough, thanks for the response. the dealer was kind enough to change it over early which gave me more piece of mind.
It was also over filled, which was their bad.
