Just picked up my black 2009 rx8 and want to put a nice set of wheels on it. Found these and was wondering if they are going to fit. And what kind of offset would work with it?
Can anyone help me??

Hi Josh, 5 x 120mm is the wrong stud pattern (PCD). You need a wheel that has 5 x 114.3mm stud pattern (PCD).

Cheers,
Danny

thanks mate, i dont really understand the measurments n stuff like that :? .
the wheels come with 10, 23, 24, 35, 37, 48, 49, and 62mm offset, and to my knowledge offest coresponds with size of the dish??
i want a pretty big dish on the back so what kind of offset would fit on my 8?

Offset has only an accidental effect on the amount of dish you can have. Think of looking at your car from behind. Now imagine the face of the wheel that mates to the hub of the axle. Now imagine a line running top to bottom down dead centre (left to right) of the wheel. The offset is the distance from that line to where the actual face is in mm. In this example, if you think about the right hand side (from behind), a positive offset means the face is further from the centre of the car. Negative means closer.

The RX-8 has +50 and so by reducing that with the same size rim, all you are doing is pushing the outer edge of the rim further away from the car. It does give you slightly more room for "dish" but we are talking mm. The most "dish" comes from the combination of larger rims and decreased offset.

Hth!

Cheers

Andrew
