Re: Water/Meth injection, benefits/cons, my research so far.

errr.. you only spray full when it reaches critical det range where you NEED the W/M, you do not need W/M at lower points, W/M does not give you extra power, it takes power AWAY, what it does is, it allows for you to tune more aggressively, unless you are WOT all the time you will not even be sprayi...

Re: Water/Meth injection, benefits/cons, my research so far.

There was another large article about this, Brettus also tried a staged setup low injection at start then higher, he opt to take it out This is the article, another very good read, warning not child friendly http://www.rbracing-rsr.com/waterinjection.html Basically in reference to progressive.... Re: Water/Meth injection, benefits/cons, my research so far.

There are two ways to control it Which i have listed in my boost, either through a hobb switch (easiest method) there is a dial to set at what boost the system comes online, a vacuum line to the switch will suffice, when it sees that pressure it will engage the water pump thus spraying the solution....

Re: Water/Meth injection, benefits/cons, my research so far.

Ah ok.

Anyways its pretty interesting, and i believe the best setup is still a staggered setup, with a slightly larger nozzle pre turbo and smaller one post IC.

Re: Water/Meth injection, benefits/cons, my research so far.

Cant really agree with that last bit "Also, the argument of reduction in compressor work per unit flow and the increase in mass flow rate doesn’t hold water in a properly sized modern non-wastegated turbo." Remeber previously we stated that a pre compressor injection effectively moves the flow map t...

Re: Water/Meth injection, benefits/cons, my research so far.

In regards to water/meth damaging the compressor blades, 1: for a centrifugal supercharger because the impellers spin slower then turbo it is better 2: the water needs to be really finely atomized, there is also attachment where it goes right into your piping and sprays directly in the middle of com...

Re: Water/Meth injection, benefits/cons, my research so far.

If you are talking strictly how fine the atmo from the nozzle then i stand corrected and used the wrong term. The idea behind better atmo is that you want the water spray pattern to be very fine and not in heavy droplets. What i mean by atmo being improved with a pre compressor setup is that once th...
