Re: Rx8 in storage

+1 for the coils.. If they go, it'll just be flooding itself and that explains the fuel in the exhaust and low sounding compression.. Replace the coils, charge the battery and go thru the deflood procedure, maybe even take out the spark plugs and put a little 2-stroke oil in (once it's free of most ...

Re: BHR engine mounts

Mine were the same, I think I mentioned it in a post somewhere..

Seemed 'harsher' initially, and I even had to re-check what bushes I had in there because it seemed a lot 'stiffer' to drive (FWIW, I have the medium stiffness bushes in mine), they did however settle down again.

Re: Fuel Consumption Pt 2

Ah ok, I'd have thought with all the talk (by versatune) about how good the(ir) software is, they'd have at least bypassed the flash limit..

It's been a non issue for MazdaEdit since I got my copy, so roughly 3~4 years ago.

Re: Fuel Consumption Pt 2

What tuning method are you using?

Should take a while to reach the 100 flash limit, tho with some softwares, there is no limit ;)

Re: Melbourne - need workshop recommendations

A lot :)..

I went all out, so might not be the best comparison, but over $10k.

Best to chat with Tim, he'll explain the usual, hard to quote for sure without pulling down the engine, but a conservative build should be sub $10k, especially if engine parts are salvageable

The red coolant hoses don't exactly make it easy to see the SOHN hose

Re: SOHN Adapter oil metering pump questions

I'll get some for you soon, but in brief, I used a fuel tank for a 49cc quad bike as my reservoir, it's simply cable tied to the brake fluid reservoir and a hose going from the outlet at the bottom of the 'fuel' tank down along the chassis rail and 'looping' around 180degrees (wide radius to avoid k...

Re: Key replacement

Might be worth double checking on the .com forum and seeing if there is any 'overlap' between the numbers, there may be certain ones that are compatible with other numbers, I'm just not sure... Another thing to consider is the majority of eBay sellers would be appealing to the North American market,...

Re: SOHN Adapter oil metering pump questions

Nope, I got mine directly from rotary aviation. I can't see why you'd need a new OMP, I'm pretty sure hundreds of other people have them and installed the same as I have (ie reusing the original OMP)

I think the ! Toots the horn and flashes the indicators briefly to assist in locating the car (in a large parking lot)

Re: Key replacement

What you'll need to do is ensure the 'visteon' number is the same as your current (working) remotes. Providing the numbers are the same, you should be able to program it.. FWIW, it is possible for a flip key and the earlier style (seperate key and remote) to have the same number, so you may not be '...
