Greddy turbo upgrades

Post by tiptoe » Fri Mar 18, 2011 6:26 pm

I think it is good...from my understanding of flow maps...which is limited...
However some might be concerend with the slow spool up.
This won't bother me. As I like the feeling of boost kicking me. Also like the idea of bot being in boost down low...yes I'm weird.lol
But when racing...how long r u gonna be in that low of a rev range? Hardly ever. That's my view anyway

It's going to be quicker than the GT35 and that's pretty quick!

Greddy turbo upgrades

Yea. He plans on using a 3076r.

Not sure on if it will be a top mount though. I think it will be considering the space limitations. But if he gets it down low it will be awesome.

the gt3076r will fit on the Greddy manifold, with slight modifications to the flanges and orientation of the turbo. has been proven (its tight but fights).

Personally i would love a low mount with a GTX3076 machined into the gt3076 housing, on a stainless steam pipe manifold. Should be able to fit without too much sacrifice on the manifold design, unlike other rx8 'kits'

I enjoy a boost kick. Makes me feel like there is something under the hood other than just the "bigger engine" you describe.

Nomad in fear of another turbo v supercharger argument, i will say this definitive statement. "TURBOZ IS BETTERREZZZ"

ok back on topic,
Tiptoe there is alot of turbine/housings you could put on the GTX3076, including the gt3076 0.82 ? But there are alot more knowledgeable people then me!

That's my point. There are a lot of housings. But not all will fit in the greddy position... Without hitting the ground or the floor anyway.

This is why I leave that specific turbo talk to gcg.

Like I said, they recommend just using the greddy housing... But I think there is more power to be had with an upgraded hot side

:diabloanifire: you want a kick , get a NOS kit :thumbleft: :thumbright:

and have it set up under the passenger seat and if you get pulled over by the police and they spot it , just tell them it is the gas for the airbag's , it's a new factory upgrade :bom:
