RX8 COMPETING IN WAKEFIELD 300

Post by rxcite » Thu Mar 06, 2014 1:03 pm

For anyone that cares there was an rx8 competing in the 300 last weekend. It was a DNF I was a little busy with our own thing to find out more, but sounded like a Renesis. Not especially fast sadly.

That makes two racing in Oz with David Waldon in Qld (who is both very quick and competitive)

The car in the WF300 has been built for production car racing , this car is very undeveloped at this stage and suffered ignition coil issues during the race. With time and the right advise it will go well.
David's IPRA car in QLD is very much a different animal, it is not a Renesis engine but an old school 13B.
The third car to be racing is our RX8SP which is the turbo factory car, with all the factory stuff ups rectified . This car is still a Renesis engine powered rocket ,built for another set of rules to suit Tarmac rally .

Interesting thanks for the info. I thought David's was a renesis, makes sense seeing how competitive it is. Great seeing it go around Bathurst certainly got some go.

Any idea where the silver one at WP will be run, AASA or IPRA? Hope to see it out again (like to compete against it  ).
