Hey Vanq - were you heading into Fyshwick this morning...

Saw a red 8 flash past with red numberplates plus it had an exhaust (read - you could actually hear it)

Sounds like me, I was taking the car in for said service, about eight-ish depending on where you the car. Were you in your 8? I don't recall seeing one?

How did the exhaust sound? Good I hope

I was in McDonald's and was waiting at the lights when I saw a red flash followed by a sweet rotary sound :thumbright:

I got my 40K service done yesterday (including replacement of the centre console - Mazda Warranty) - $457 (also including tyre rotation)

Just a quick question - what is the generally accepted best place to service a RX-8? What are the independent options? Is one dealer still better than the other?

Yes, I think most of us go to Reliance in Isa St Fyshwick.
I've been going there for many years with my rotary and piston Mazdas.
Jon has the turbo upgrade down pat now, if you really want to move.

Yes I’m in E block and walked past your shining example.
The drive is too short for the rotary, so I’m in a Bravo most days.
